Louna Productions are a Scottish-German storytelling company based in Glasgow founded by actresses Anna Lehr and Louisa Thornton. Reviving the century-old tradition of storytelling by combining it with song, physical theatre and a lot of dark humour, we aim to appeal to an adult audience that has not forgotten their childhood's dreams and nightmares.
We want to give storytelling the attention it deserves on the big stage in theatres, but we also like to pop up in unconventional locations such as night clubs and outdoor venues. Focusing on tales by the Brothers Grimm, Scottish folklore and anything in between, we are collaborating on a regular basis with other arts practitioners such as visual artists and writers.
Besides entertaining grown-ups, we have recently also started to adapt fairy tales to a young audience aged 7 and over.
